Don’t miss the final week of the Trucial Scouts Exhibition at Al Jahili Fort

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) in cooperation with G.H.Q. Armed Forces and the Museum & Military History Centre have organised an exhibition entitled “The Trucial Scouts: Life and Times” that features a collection of 32 artefacts taken from the UAE military scouts, including some of the weapons they carried, uniforms and various other utensils. The exhibition, which opened on 1st November at Al Jahili Fort in Al Ain, will conclude on Saturday 28th April 2018.

The Trucial Scouts exhibition represents DCT Abu Dhabi’s active role in supporting artistic and cultural events to nurture a rich cultural environment and honour the emirate’s heritage. The exhibition tells the story and history of Al Ain, highlighting the formation of Al Jahili Fort by the order of HH Sheikh Zayed the First in 1898. Al Jahili Fort stands as a proud historic monument and symbol of the UAE.
The exhibition also held a series of talks and educational workshops giving participants a deeper and in-depth look into the history of the Trucial Scouts at Al Jahili Fort.
