Abu Dhabi Celebrates Successful First Night of Eid Concerts

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) organised a successful first night of concerts to celebrate Eid, held at the UAE capital’s exciting new live entertainment venue, Etihad Arena.

The first live concert in Abu Dhabi for 15 months saw the crowd wowed by superstars Assala and Hussain Al Jassmi, who matched the excitement of the audience with typically fantastic performances.

“The fact that tickets to the first night of concerts sold out almost as soon as they were released, shows that residents, citizens and visitors from other emirates were more than ready to gather and celebrate, in the spirit of Eid Al Adha,” said HE Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Executive Director of Tourism and Marketing at DCT Abu Dhabi. “Abu Dhabi has shown the world that it is a safe place to visit, live and enjoy, and the measures we have put in place to ensure the well-being of all have shown to be successful.”

The excitement continues tomorrow night, 23 July with another spectacular performance by Tamer Hosni and Myriam Fares.
